Python is one of the most readable, versatile languages in the world. A great first language and the foundation for our Pygame and AI courses. Lessons are built around the student's current level, whether that's a first program ever or a jump into more advanced concepts.

What you'll learn

Variables, data types, and basic operations
Conditionals and loops for decision-making and repetition
Writing and calling functions, and understanding scope
Core data structures: lists, dictionaries, sets, and tuples
String manipulation and working with user input
Introduction to object-oriented programming (classes & objects)
Reading error messages and debugging your own code
Building small real projects like calculators, text-based games, and automation scripts

Who this course is for

Python works well for students as young as 10 through adult learners. It's an ideal starting language for anyone new to programming, and a natural next step for students who've outgrown Scratch. It's also the required foundation for our Pygame course.
